Finding the mailheader

If you receive mail containing threats, phishing or other security related issues, you should always contact Servicedesk. They will ask you for something called a mail header. This is information key to track the sender of the mail. Perform the following steps to find the mail header.

You need access to the " original email " . If it isn´t you who received the mail the easiest way is to visit the person who received the email. Do NOT forward the original mail since that will destroy the original header.
Log into Gmail, and open the specific mail .
Select "Show Original"
Now copy the header code and mail it to Servicedesk.
